SEO Tips to Optimize Staffing Firm Marketing Content

May 8, 2018 Lead Generation, Marketing Strategy, Social Media 0 Comments

It’s hard to believe that six years have gone by since we began a marketing firm focused on staffing firms. Over the last six years, we have worked with amazing staffing firms, solving problems from marketing strategy, to website development, to direct mail, to content creation, to lead generation, to events, to search engine optimization (SEO) and more.

As all of you know, staffing firm marketing has many challenges in the acquisition of clients and candidates.SEO and Your Staffing Firm Website

Today, I’d like to share in depth with you Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices that drive both clients and consultants.

Relevancy
Many staffing firms in their marketing efforts get confused on the concept of keywords. A simple definition is that keywords are the words people use to find you in search engines. Relevancy is the unknown equation and factor that search engines use to rank you.

Many of the concepts used in relevancy are things like:

• Keyword Density
• Backlinks
• Responsive Website
• Navigation
• Blog

All are key components that need to be taken into account. For example, if you are trying to attract agile scrum masters the first thing you need to consider on any given page is:

-How many times do you say “agile scrum master” or “agile scrum master careers” in order to get your focused keyword on the page? (Keyword Density)

-Is your navigation of that page called “agile scrum masters”? (Navigation)

-Is that page set-up with links from other relevant sites coming back to it? (Backlinks)

-Is your website responsive for mobile, tablet, and desktop? (Responsive Website)

-Is your blog set-up and active? (Blog)

All of these factors are among the major tracking elements for the search engine. Any of these that you are not currently doing is hurting your search engine optimization (SEO) for your staffing firm marketing.

Social Media
There are many myths in social media. The first myth is that if you write something interesting to an audience it grows your efforts and enhances your results. This is both true and false.

In order to build your audience they must be able to find you. Keywords, backlinks, and responsiveness are the ways in which people find you. Writing an interesting article in and of itself does not ensure results.

Your audience needs to be able to find your article in the sea of staffing firm marketing content by using relevancy as your tool. Don’t be discouraged by the level of effort you need to take, as repetition breeds success.
Search engine optimization (SEO), unlike sales and recruiting, are truly mathematical algorithms and simply require your focus and consistency. For those who keep an eye on their analytics and continue driving their efforts typically find themselves rewarded within their targeted keywords.
