SEO Tips with Muhammad Zulqarnain
How to apply SEO to your marketing strategy
We had the chance to talk with S.J. Hemley Marketing’s Digital Marketing Manager, Muhammad Zulqarnain, who has had an impressive trajectory working in the digital marketing world. The goal of this blog is to give you a comprehensive overview of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and the key points you should know about it.
Do you believe users have changed the way they research things?
Yes, the trends of users searching for answers to their problems are rising and have been for the last 3 to 4 years. Also, the increase in technology integration makes searching easier for users. An example is voice search options on websites, which is not prevalent as of now, but you can expect them to become mainstream sometime in the future.
How do you think designers will incorporate different features to improve SEO?
Although SEO and web design seem to be on two different ends of the digital marketing spectrum, the two go hand-in-hand. If you skip SEO when designing your company’s website, you’ll often cost your business time, money, and rankings. It’s best to incorporate SEO and web design together because you can build a foundation for your SEO strategy via your website and its design. Web designers can indirectly contribute to SEO by creating/maintaining a User-friendly UI, which will somewhat contribute to a lesser bounce rate and increase page stay time.
How do you think SEO has affected the organic growth of websites and social media?
Without SEO there’s no organic growth. If you have a website that is not optimized, search engines will have a hard time determining what your site is about. Your site will not be updated in the search engines because “crawlers” can’t crawl your site properly. Crawlers is a program that systematically browses the World Wide Web to create an index of data. The program won’t be able to place your content against relevant searches without on-page optimization, so basically, without SEO, websites are a disaster. The social media world works differently. If you have relevant tags and headlines, with proper optimization, your posts will rank in the images section.
What do you think about using emotional headlines to get a higher CTR?
It is important to make your headlines click-worthy. No one is interested in reading something that doesn’t pique their interest. Creating suspense and intrigue is the number one reason why anyone will keep on scrolling or clicking on your CTA. Writing clever CTA’s will help your open rates on your emails, social media posts, blogs, etc., which in-tern increases the organic traffic to your website.
A keyword strategy contains every decision you take based on your findings in your keyword research. Keyword research determines your destination. There’s no use in flying without a destination, you’ll just run out of fuel eventually. It’s important in all aspects, whether it’s content you’re writing or you’re tracking results in Analytics. Your keyword strategy is how you want to target those keywords, now and in the future.
How are ads helpful in promoting a business/brand?
Advertising can boost sales by informing prospective and current customers about new product launches, special offers, or enhancements. In addition, advertising can also create, develop or simply remind potential customers about your business.
